| The BOSE® L1 is an entirely new approach to amplification that dramatically improves DJ performances. Unlike conventional loudspeakers, the BOSE® L1 Cylindrical Radiator has the unique property of radiating sound evenly throughout the ballroom with minimal change in volume level or sound quality.
Conventional speakers force sound in both horizontal and vertical directions at once. Due to the physics of sound, guests on or closest to the dance floor will hear the music but in some venues, that same sound won't travel to the far end of the room or around corners. As a result, guests seated in these sections will hear a muddled sound at best - causing them to miss announcements and formalities. In an attempt to resolve this, a DJ will turn up the volume levels to unbearable levels for those sitting nearby - and an even more distorted sound for those in the back. Furthermore, bass will echo and reverberate off all surfaces causing further annoyance. Many of your guests will have to shout to hold conversation, and for sensitive ears, this can lead to a short night.
The BOSE® L1 Cylindrical Radiators use innovative technology to create a "wedge-shaped" sound pattern. Sound will disperse evenly throughout the room, but not vertically. Bass will sound clean and add for a perfect studio-quality sound - just as the artists and sound engineers intended. Because of the pattern's unique effect on the sound wave, the sound level from the back of the room is much more uniformed to the sound level near the speakers.
 
 When you first mentioned a Bose sound system - we knew the sound quality would be perfect. We just did not know it would be that perfect - every corner of the room could hear every announcement and song with crystal clear precision; and our guests could still converse normally during dinner. And when you played "Don't Stop Believing" - we heard details we never heard before - we swore the actual band was playing it live.
